I’m not a “hair girl”. I try, but more often than not the hairs on my head don’t do what I (or the products enlisted) ask them to do. About two years ago I decided it was time to #adult in the hair department. I began spending more on styling tools and product and have found a few things that are my hair nets. They rescue me from bad hairs days and make me feel like I’m upping my hair game.

  1. Hot Tools Flat Iron. I splurged on this late one night and have been in love ever since. For the price it’s amazing. It cost less than my mini Chi and is so much better.

  2. Dry Bar’s Buttercup Blow-Dryer. I always thought a hair dryer was a hair dryer. They blow hot air. The Buttercup proved me wrong. I don’t know what it does? Some ion thing? When I use it, it’s like I’ve been to the salon. It’s not travel size but goes everywhere with me. That’s how good it is.

  3. Oribe Texture Spray. I got a trial size from the Derm Store. It quickly became another product I don’t leave home without. Smells great. Perfect for adding volume and/or freshening up dirty hair.

  4. Bumble & Bumble Glow Blow Dry Accelerator. This stuff is magic. Spray just a little on damp hair and it cuts drying time in half. No lie. Finley loves it too. She hates drying her hair. Glow has saved the day many Sunday mornings.

  5. Teleties. Head to the site or your local boutique and splurge on the real deal. They are more than worth it. I can pull my hair up for a work out and when I’m finished let it out and down for the rest of the day, no crease. They’re awesome.
