Shiny and New
Hoping you all are loving the “new” sequin as much as me! It’s not the 1980’s sequin It’s casual at times and elegant at others. You can wear it all day, every day. It’s not limited to cocktail parties, prom and New Year’s Eve.
The top above is in my Zara cart, but I like this one too. The latter is more casual and would be perfect for a house party or even dressy church. Here’s a similar black/copper option if you’re like me and love everything in black. And I have to throw in this camo one that would be fun by the fire! Pair these tops with denim, leather and of course a little black pant.
I found a pair of sequin pants at Nordy Rack several years ago and receive numerous compliments every time I wear them. They’re great in a pinch. You can pair them with almost anything. Mine are straight leg and cropped similar to these. I want to try these leggings by Commando. If they’re comfortable it would be amazing. When do you ever use that word in a sentence when talking about “fancy” clothes? A flare leg like these and these are fun and if you’re a camo girl and can splurge these are amazing! ShopBop to the rescue with this lesser price camo pant that is equally as cool.
Then there’s go big or go home, the sequin dress. I want the Norma Kamali dress above SO BADLY. Zara has a great gold one that’s a little more budget friendly. This D&G red number is definitely a splurge, but va-va-vavoom. Don’t fret, there are other red options like this one and this one (lame rather than sequin but on sale and close enough). I recently recommend this cute star number to a friend. Do strappy heels for cocktails and a leather jacket with black booties for girls’ night.
