all the sandals: platform, sporty, jute and slide

About this time every. year I start looking for go-to, every day, summer sandals. Ones I can wear to the ballpark and to dinner. They need to be walkable and not too fussy. I want a Birk feel with YSL style.

My first stop is designer sites. Who’s influencing run way and street style?

Paloma Barcelo. I crush every season. I’m currently debating between this wedge slide and this jute platform.

Neiman’s. They have all of summer’s shoe trends. Stella’s sporty platform, Sophia’s rainbow wedge and Loubie’s ‘70s chic clog-like platform. There are lots of embellished slides like this and lots of easy to wear flatforms like this. We need flats, but a little lift to elongate your legs when when you’re wearing shorts is always a plus.

Shopbop. This is the stop for platforms. I love these Stella’s. Chloe is a toss up between this pair and this pair. I don’t have any K. Jacques, but my girlfriends say this pair is a must have. Fashion flip flops are big for summer. Time to give them a try or maybe these glossy Tkees?

Now let’s find these babies in a lesser price point. No reason to worry if I wear them to the ballpark!

Steve Madden does great emulations. The Rampster is very similar to Barcelo’s wedge slide.

I haven’t quite found a jute platform I’m crazy about. Marc Fisher has this one and this one ( a signature style). This sporty one of his is actually my favorite. It’s similar to the Stella one above. This Dolce Vita one is spot on for Stella though.

I love neon, so naturally my eyes were drawn to this wedge and this one. Don’t be afraid of color for every day.

Back to Steve for that ‘70s sandal (hahaha). You can pick from Rydley, Ravenna or Coloda. Rydley is my favorite but my most favorite is Senada. They’re so high and so red and remind me of a pair my girlfriend used to wear in college for game day. This Schutz pair is a pretty fab too.

I found lots of fashion flip flops at Zara. They have this pair with “shimmery” rhinestones, this pair with a metallic bow that’s channeling Loeffler Randal and this lilac pair that I’ve got to have. They’re Stiletto & Sand’s color!
