never too late for stuffing
Where to begin. Stocking stuffers and gift ideas are flooding my inbox by the hour. There are so many options this year . . . or have I just signed up for lots of email newsletters? When Jarrett and I got married I found out that one of my love languages is gift giving. I kind of knew it from the start of our study. There is nothing that makes me more excited than to find THE perfect gift. It can be a curse sometimes. I have spent countless hours searching and paid too much in shipping charges to get “it” here on time. This year I started backwards. Most people save stocking stuffers for the last minute run to CVS, but this year I hope my family’s stockings will be like LOL Dolls and blind boxes. What’s hidden in the toe?!
Let’s start with The Container Store. I’ve shopped their stocking section for several years and always find the most helpful gifts. It’s great to give a gift you know will really be used. Like this battery storage box and this 8-in-1 screwdriver Jarrett’s getting. And who has heaps of charging cables everywhere? Um, me. Everyone is getting a set of velcro wraps. These magnetic trays are perfect for junk drawers. Genius. Make them more fun by tucking a lollipop pen inside. I hope we put these taco holders and this pigs-in-a-blanket mold to use as soon as all the gifts are opened. So cute!
Shopbop is next. They’re great for kitschy items. Items that make people say, “Oh my gosh! Where did you get that?!” I usually pick up a few things for Jarrett to put in my stocking (wink-wink). I’m thinking he’ll get me this set of Baggu bags, this Jonathan Adler mug and this boss hair pin. Fun stuff I’d never get myself any other time of year. These ornaments are so funny. You can split them up and give everyone their favorite food for the tree. And if you have a mother-in-law who hosts fancy dinners give her these conversation starters. Know a fashionista who’s been especially good this year? Please get her this Jacquemas wrist bag. It may not be practical, but you will be loved forever. Have someone who still uses paper? These stickers are perfect for them. Shopbop does kids too. Finley’s getting this necklace kit and Breaker’s getting this lunch box.
Last store. It’s a lot of info, but please hit up Mark & Graham too. I may be biased because I’m from the south, but everyone loves to have a few things in their repertoire monogrammed. Airpods, makeup bags and changing pads naturally lend themselves to a label. Why not make it fancy? Speaking of making something fancy, how about your fur baby’s “business bag”, collar and I.D. tag? If it needs a name, M&G will add it with class.
