grad gifts

Graduation gifts. The grads want money, but we can’t help but want to give a gift. Something they’ll have for years to come or something that will be extra useful as they dive into college life. If you opt for a gift, here are my ideas.

He/she is going to be traveling. Whether it’s back home or to a roommate’s house, your grad is going to need a weekender. I can’t get enough of Dagne Dover (above). I have this Caara bag, but it’s a tight squeeze. This one and this one (love) are probably better suited for weekend travel. I received a bag similar to this for graduation. Yes, Vera Bradley. Not as much of a fan these days, but I still have my bag and it still gets the job done. For guys I like this Herschel bag. If you have more to spend, I like this one or this one at Filson (several of their styles are sold out, move quick). If you want to do a legit piece of luggage, I LOVE my Away bags. I want this lavendar one before our next trip.

Have this bracelet. Love this bracelet. Every time I wear it I get a Holly Golightly confidence boost. I love a Roxanne Assoulin custom bracelet too. For something more sophisticated go for Yurman links. These ideas are a little pricey, but I’ve found some equally chic lesser price point jewels. Finley gave this necklace at Kendra Scott a thumbs up. I like this one and this one too (bonus, the latter can be bracelet too). If you’re thinking something with a cross head straight to e. newton. I love everything she does.

Now for more functional gifts like the Weezie bath wrap above. Always a good idea for the gals. A few more options here, here and here. A laundry bag you can wear as a backpack AND it holds the detergent? Yes, please. If you need a bag that doubles as decor, the Laundress to the rescue. Along these same lines, shower slides. Flip flops are great, but so are these Birks and these Freedom Moses (dupe here) that they can wear out of the shower . . . or even on their senior trip.
